Boaters injured in Maryland collision

Every year in Maryland, accidents that may at first seem minor lead to life-changing brain injuries in people of all ages. For some, it is a trip or fall resulting in a knock to the head. Others develop brain injuries as the result of sudden shaking, such as may occur during a car accident. In some cases, these injuries can happen at birth, due to a baby's oxygen supply being temporarily cut off, or even as the result of excessive forceps pressure.

Whatever the cause, brain injuries can often have serious consequences affecting all areas of your or your child's life. These injuries can affect emotional development, memory and even motor skills. You could even experience difficulties carrying out simple tasks that were not formerly a problem, such as eating, reading and solving problems.

In Maryland, three people have been sent to hospitals following a boating accident. According to reports, the incident occurred when their boat collided with a mile marker. One woman, said to have been in her late 20s, is reported to have suffered head trauma and was taken to a shock trauma center.

If you have suffered head trauma of any kind, or you have any concerns that you or your child may have a brain injury caused by someone else's negligence, you may be entitled to compensation. It may be difficult to focus on legal proceedings when faced with such a life-changing incident, but you do not need to handle it alone. An attorney may be able to assist you with your case and help you pursue the justice and compensation you deserve as you come to terms with the consequences of these injuries.
